The Residence Saint-Ange is an art residence dedicated to welcome contemporary artists from any nationalities, that have completed their studies in France and that are between 25 and 45 years old.

The Residence is settled in the middle of the Saint-Ange Tower Estate, an architectural site dated from the Middle Age. The Residence, designed by the french architecte Odile Decq, is divided between a work studio of 100 m2 and a furnished apartment of 60 m2, with a library space.

Each year, we offer 2 artists an unique occasion of a 3 month stay entirely dedicated to their work of creation, right in front of the stunning panorama of the Belledone mountains.

The artists, selected for the “Saint-Ange Grant” awarded each year in June, will benefit from:

– A 3 months stay in the Residence (from February to April, and from September to November).
– An exhibition of their works produced during the Residence in an Art Center of the region.
– A benefit of 1000 € per month.
– The publication of a catalogue featuring their works accomplished during their stay.

The artists will be chosen by a selection comity, assembled once a year. The comity is composed with art collectors, artists and professionals, in total 10 personalities. Each member of the comity will propose 4 or 5 artists dossiers, which the final choice will be based on.

Important: WE DO NOT ACCEPT SPONTANEOUS APPLICATIONS! Please do not send your dossier directly to the Residence, it will not be reviewed or sent back. Many thanks for your understanding.
